About Me:

Director of Jazz Studies and Applied Saxophone at Washburn University in Topeka, KS. I been playing professionally for over 25 years. Spent time in the Air Force bands as the lead alto saxophonist and director for the Noteables jazz ensemble. Was also the principal saxophonist for the Heartland of America Band. I have spent most of my life playing and teaching jazz. I spent most of my time playing in Kansas City with The Boulevard Big Band playing lead alto for several years. Currently I am the Artistic Director for the Coleman Hawkins Legacy Jazz Festival here in Topeka, Kansas. Our festival will be held on June 25-28. If you are interested in having your groups perform contact me. I have formed my own group call The Augmented Quartet. We are planning on recording soon so check us out.
